Synopsis: Introduction to computers as a tool for artists and designers. Acquisition of skills, especially the ability to create, adapt, edit and manipulate digital images. Students are encouraged to push the boundaries of the computer as a creative tool, understanding the importance of their own willingness to visualise, conceptualise, experiment and seek innovative solutions to problems.

Assessment: Weekly exercises: 40% + Projects: 50% + Journal: 10%

Contact Hours: 2 studio hours and 4 independent study hours per week
