Synopsis: Students will explore the various perspectives of Primary Health and recognise what can be defined as Primary Health Care within their own area of practice. Providing "Primary" services is essential to health promotion and sickness prevention strategies, particularly in rural and remote communities. This unit has a large self-directed reading component, requesting students to explore their individual disciplines. The assignments and web-based discussion group encourages self reflection and the development of critical analysis. This unit is particularly relevant to nurse practitioners.

Assessment: Written assignments + participation in discussion forum
