COM4010(H)Communication Research: Issues and Methodology (12 points)(ARTS) Leader: Dr Allison Craven and Dr Patricia Goon
Offered: Synopsis: This unit provides training in communication research methodologies and theoretical frameworks for research in communications, including approaches to ethics and intellectual property management. Study is developed around a research project based on identified industry needs. The project is to be designed, developed and budgeted to proposal stage and becomes the basis for assessment in the unit. The unit provides the opportunity to explore vocational interests in a chosen aspect of the communications industry while maintaining a critical approach to research Assessment: Work in progress seminar 3000 words 40%; Research Proposal (6000 words) 60%.
