Synopsis: The ability to be able to find, use and present information is crucial to those working in the communications industry. The unit focuses on research methods, sources and materials for the study and analysis of Australian society, both past and present. Sources studied range from biographical references, opinion polls, ABS statistics through to pictorial images

Assessment: Four papers (1000 words): 40% + Class participation: (10%) + Research essay (5000 words): 50%
