Synopsis: An overview of the developmental stages of life from infancy to adulthood, parenting and families. Development is examined from the perspectives of physical development, cognitive development, relationships, continuous adaptation, emotional and social development and cultural factors. The unit also deals with interviewing and assessment techniques and the writing of clinical assessment reports, and best practice approaches to prevention and treatment.

Assessment: Written assessment approx. 4,000 words (100%)
