Crime and Politics: Myths and Realities (6 points)

Synopsis: As for CJC2005.

Assessment: Class presentation (equivalent of 500 words): 10% + Class participation: 10% + Research essay (2000 words): 40% + 2 hour examination: 40% + Third year students will be expected to display a higher understanding of conceptual issues central to the unit.

Contact Hours: 2 contact hours (one hour lecture and one hour tutorial.)

Prerequisites: CJC1001/CJC1002 (These units are prerequisites ONLY if the student wishes to undertake a CJC major or minor. This unit can be undertaken as an elective without any prerequisites.)
