Synopsis: Heat transfer with phase change - condensation (pure and multi-component systems, vapour with non-condensable gases), boiling; radiation heat transfer, simultaneous heat and mass transfer - humidification, de-humidification, cooling tower, evaporation, membranes, adsorption and ion-exchange.

Assessment: Examinations: 85% + Assignments: 15%

Contact Hours: 2 lectures and 2 tutorials per week

Prerequisites: CHE2114 or CHE2082 or ENE2102
