Integrated business systems - SAP R/3 (6 points)

Synopsis: This unit is a non-trivial hands-on introduction to the SAP R/3 Enterprise Wide System. An introduction to the functionality and operation of the system, including the Implementation Guide (IMG) Procedure and Reference Models, is followed by an in-depth look at a typical R/3 module. The module is examined from an operational (user) and configuration (developer) perspective. The core Fi/Co modules are then examined from these perspectives. Finally, the ABAP language is introduced and techniques for writing report programs are discussed and practised.

Assessment: Assignments: 30% + Examination (2 hours): 70% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit

Contact Hours: One 2-hour lecture and one 1-hour laboratory per week

Corequisites: BUS9520 or equivalent
