Environmental law for business (6 points)

Synopsis: This unit provides students with in-depth studies on environmental law in Australia, with special emphasis on its application to business and development projects. Topics include the state of the environment, international obligations, government responsibilities, common law rights, and an examination of specific regulatory schemes for management of air pollution, industrial waste, water and land degradation, with special focus on corporate management issues, emerging regulatory models and the role of economic incentives.

Assessment: Assignment (5000 words): 50% + Examination: 50%
