Synopsis: Overview of auditing and assurance, the auditor's professional responsibility and legal liability, audit process and evidence under a strategic risk approach, study and evaluation of internal control, CIS auditing, an overview of audit sampling, testing transactions and account balances, audit and assurance reports, internal and operational auditing and current issues.

Assessment: Assignments: 1 essay (2000 words): 15% + 1 problem solving exercise (2000 words): 15% + Examination (3 hours): 70%
