Synopsis: An overview of financial planning industry regulation; regulators; dealers; advisers; licences and proper authorities; banking industry financial services; legal system, principles and common law; liability, disclaimers and disclosures; macroeconomic and microeconomic issues; interest rate determination and term structure; capital markets and funding decisions; fundamentals of investment analysis; financial mathematics; professional negligence and duty of care.

Assessment: Assignment (2000 words): 30% + Examination (3 hours): 70%
