Synopsis: Topics include the principles of corporate governance for a chief financial officer; departmental structure of a treasury operation; establishing and maintaining treasury policy; contents of an operating procedures manual; documentary and settlement procedures; treasury reporting and performance measurement; treasury systems; managing an international treasury operation; outsourcing of a treasury operation (discussing both theoretical and practical advantages and disadvantages); use and controls for derivatives products; and accounting and taxation of financial instruments.

Assessment: Assignment: 50% + Examination (3 hours): 50%
