Diploma of Foundation Studies


General information

Course code: 2552 + Gippsland

Objectives

The Diploma of Foundation Studies is a one-year, full-time course designed to provide an articulation pathway into a degree program or a stand-alone qualification.

Entry requirements

Admission to the course will be determined by individual interview, for students who normally will have completed VCE, and who meet minimum University entry requirements.

There will be no provision for advanced standing at the point of entry.

Course structure

The course comprises 48 points, made up of eight first-level degree or diploma units. Two units per semester will be core units taken by all diploma students. Two units per semester will be disciplinary units offered by participating faculties.

Articulation

Students who are successful in gaining a place in this course may be eligible to apply to enter a Monash degree and receive some advanced standing.
