Master of Clinical Medicine


This course is currently not offered and under review

It is proposed that this course, offered by the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, will assist medical practitioners to work rationally and efficiently in today's rapidly changing health environment. It is proposed that the course will be offered as a combination of off-campus learning and on-campus teaching, undertaken over a 12 to 18-month period of three full-time semesters or over a three years part-time. The degree will provide education in the fundamentals of evidence-based medicine, emphasising issues related to screening, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy, and the application of these concepts to a broad number of medical specialties.

Applicants must be registered as a medical practitioner by a Medical Board within the Commonwealth, or within their own country and have extensive clinical experience.

Course structure

The course will be comprised of four core units, eight elective units and a series of case studies.
