Graduate Certificate of Nursing (Community Health and Development)


General information

The Schools of Nursing at Monash University and Deakin University have combined their curricula to create the Graduate Certificate of Nursing (Community Health and Development), which is reflective of contemporary community health nursing practice requirements.

Applicants would normally have a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria (eg Division 1 or be eligible for registration) and at least one year of nursing experience.

Course structure

This course may be undertaken part-time by off-campus learning or by flexible learning mode (ie a combination of on and off-campus learning modes). Satisfactory completion of the course requires studies totalling 24 credit points of study over one year. Students are required to undertake the following units:

Assessment

Assessment includes essays, case conferencing, project and assignments.
