Graduate Certificate in Family Medicine


General information

The Graduate Certificate in Family Medicine is a clinical course in general practice offered by off-campus learning to registered general practitioners. The course is designed to meet the educational needs of doctors seeking up-skilling and those training for general practice. The course will be conducted part-time over a 12-month period. Articulation to the Graduate Diploma or Master of Family Medicine is also possible upon completion of the graduate certificate.

Course structure

The course is made up of 24 credit points and consists of two compulsory core units plus a selection of modules and/or electives similar to those offered under the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine.

Assessment

Assessment includes coursework participation, assignments, attendance at a weekend workshop and an OSCE examination.
