Graduate Certificate in Law Teaching

This course has been designed for both Australian and international teachers in law and aims to encourage the development of reflective practitioners in law teaching; explore the tradition, practices and trends in law teaching; reflect on important teaching and learning issues; and develop a collaborative learning environment. The course uses flexible learning methodologies that encourage active engagement and the application of learning to real-life problems, for example through the use of online resources, discussion groups and problem-solving using examples drawn from students' own practice. The course is taught entirely online so is completely flexible for teachers working full-time or part-time.

The Graduate Certificate in Law Teaching is open to graduates with a profession-specific qualification with current teaching responsibilities in law or a related area in a higher education context. The course comprises four 6-point compulsory units that cover the following areas:
