Graduate Diploma of Nursing (Gerontics)


General Information

Course code: 1754 + School of Nursing, (Gippsland campus - off-campus learning; Peninsula campus - mixed mode) + Full-fee-paying course: $8400 (Australian residents); $8700 (international students) + Course coordinators: Ailsa Rickards (Gippsland) and Joan Yalden (Peninsula)

Aims

This course is offered part-time via off-campus learning or by mixed mode over two years. The mixed-mode course includes the combination of off-campus learning study materials, on-campus seminars and clinical fieldwork. The course structure consists of three core units and five specialist units in gerontics.

Entry requirements

Applicants would normally have relevant registration (eg Division 1 with the Nurses Board of Victoria), with at least one year of nursing experience, and have a degree in nursing or related discipline. Experience in the relevant area of practice is desirable.

At Peninsula, there will be a series of seminars on campus throughout the semester to support study materials and clinical fieldwork.
