Course
code: 2319 + Gippsland + Attendance is compulsory at two
residential schools (one in each of the first two years)
The Master of Maintenance and Reliability Engineering extends the work
undertaken in the other programs. Credits (24 credit points) are awarded for
studies in the graduate diploma that have been completed to an approved standard.
There
are three entry points for this course:
1. Completion of a Graduate Diploma in Engineering Maintenance Management from
this or another university with an average unit grade of 65 per cent or
better.
2. Completion of the Graduate Certificate in Reliability Engineering, followed
by the Graduate Certificate in Maintenance Management, with an average unit
grade overall of 65 per cent or better.
3. Direct entry for graduate engineers holding a four-year honours degree in
engineering, or a four-year pass degree plus honours equivalent work
experience, or other higher qualifications and experience considered
appropriate to the field of study.
A special application for candidature form is required in addition to the
normal application form, and can be obtained by email from the program
coordinator. The same other requirements apply as for the graduate diploma:
employer letter and certified copies of testamurs, as well as access to a
suitable computer.
Residential schools apply as for the graduate diploma program.
The course consists of units listed as for the graduate certificates and diploma, plus further studies. The content and duration varies with the entry level as given above. Entry types 1 and 2 are expected to take 24 to 36 months.
