Graduate Certificate in Risk Management


General Information

Course code: 3151 + Caulfield campus + Full fee-paying course: local and international students

Aims

The objectives of the course focus on key areas of study through which students will be able to:

Entry requirements

Applicants must have a pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.

Special requirements

Students should have access to a computer (at least a Pentium 166 with Windows 95 or later) as a portion of the learning is via interactive tutorial disks. In addition, it is strongly recommended that students undertake 12 hours of study per unit per week.

Attendance

Students have the option of attending three weekend sessions per unit per semester which are currently available in Melbourne and Sydney.

Course structure

The graduate certificate is offered on a part-time basis only and is of one yearís duration by off-campus learning. Students are expected to undertake two units per semester and pass the equivalent of four units to be eligible for the award of Graduate Certificate in Risk Management.

Advanced standing for previous study

To apply for advanced standing, applicants must complete the ëApplication for advanced standingí form and provide full documentation, ie unit syllabuses and official transcripts of results. Students can apply for up to a maximum of 50 per cent of the program. In addition, prior studies must have been completed within the last five years.
