Systems design and implementation

8 points + 4 hours per week + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: SYS1002 or SYS1252; one of BUS1041, CSC1011, SFT1101 + Corequisites: COT2138 and SFT2201 + Prohibitions: BUS2071, CFR2126, CFR2161, CSC3151, IMS1002, SYS2001, SYS2071, SYS2161, SYS3076

Synopsis: Overview of the systems development process; requirements specification for information systems; process modelling; data modelling; integration of requirements models; generating and evaluating design alternatives; design of information systems: logical data design, logical process design, structured design, interface and dialogue design.

Assessment: Examination: 60% + Practical assignments: 40%
