SPN4650Latin American Studies in Culture and Power(ART)
J Browitt 12 points + 3 hours per week + First semester + Clayton Synopsis: This subject will introduce the student to a variety of texts, both fictional and non-fictional, and audio-visual recordings which illustrate the intersection of processes of cultural production and consumption and how they intersect with structures of power in Latin American societies. The course will have a historical as well as a social and cultural focus. Assessment: Two essays (2500 words each): 60% + Final test (3000 words): 30% + Participation: 10% |
