RAD4010Medical imaging and methods 3 (MRI)(MED)
Synopsis: This unit provides students with an understanding of the scientific principles underpinning magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), its associated instrumentation and protocols, positioning methods and biological protection prociniples. On completion of the unit students will be able to participate in and basically evaluate magnetic resonance images of the head and neck, spine, thoracic and abdominal regions and extremities including abilities to recognise and describe normal cross sectional, sagittal, coronal and 3 dimensional reconstructed anatomy, normal physiology and common pathological appearances. Assessment: Examination (3 hours):50% + Written assignments (2): 50% |
