Synopsis: Embryology. The endocrine glands, chemistry of hormones, receptors and hormone specificity, hormonal interactions, control of hormonal secretions, the hormones of the pituitary gland, the thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals, pancreas, ovaries and testes, the pineal gland and the thymus. Structure and physiology of the male and female reproductive systems, including the mammary glands. Pregnancy and development of the foetus. Genotype and phenotype and the inheritance of gender.

Assessment: Examinations (3hours): 50% + Image recognition examination: 25% + Essay (2000 words): 25%
