3 points + 2 taught hours and 4 independent study hours per week + First semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: PPR3108 or PPR3107 or admission to BVisCom(Hons)

Synopsis: This subject provides a broad overview of design studio business management. Topics centre around the operation of a small business (design studio), and include establishing a schedule of fees, cost allocations, salaries and associated costs, sub-contracting, administration systems, invoicing and payments, taxation, cash flow issues, software systems for business administration and fundamentals of a business plan.

Assessment: Class paper:50% + Written report:50%
