Synopsis: This unit is concerned with some philosophical questions about the nature of consciousness, in particular with the question whether consciousness is irreducibly non-physical. Assessment: Two essays (1750 words each): 40% each + Examination (1 hour): 20%. + One essay may optionally be replaced by a 2-hour examination
