Synopsis: This subject will provide the student with the opportunity to work as a member of an ambulance paramedic crew under the direct supervision of a Monash appointed clinical teacher, ambulance medical officer, and MUCAPS staff. It is expected that the skills developed in ALS Ambulance Paramedic clinical practice will be applied to the work environment. The subject will require the student to demonstrate clinical competence in the application of the ALS ambulance paramedic clinical practice guidelines.

Assessment: Theory examination: Pass/Fail + Practical skills assessment and OSCE: Pass/Fail + Clinical reports Pass/Fail + Viva voce panel exam: Pass/Fail
