Well women's health nursing

12 points + Second semester (alternate years) + Peninsula (flexible delivery)

Synopsis: The role of nurses in independent and collaborative practice providing well women's health services. Service models, practice issues and research that inform and delineate practice roles in well women's health. Innovative nursing developments in evaluating advanced clinical competence, credentialling, medicolegal considerations and establishment of best practice criteria in nurse-based well women's health service delivery. Fieldwork activities culminate in the completion of a relevant project. Competence to practice as a well women's nurse practitioner for professional credentialling is a hurdle requirement associated with extensive clinical practice hours.

Assessment: Written assignment: 30% + Presentation/paper: 30% + Field-based report: 40% + Achievement of competence in practice: Pass/fail
