NUR9205Education technology in nursing(MED) Proposed to be offered next in 2003 Mr B. Hornblower 6 points + First semester + Gippsland (OCDL) + Peninsula (Flexible mode) Synopsis: Nurse educators have a plethora of educational tools available to them. The emphasis on life long learning, self directed learning, problem solving and critical thinking together with an overlay of increasingly sophisticated educational technologies necessitate the nurse educator to be more discerning in the use of these technologies. This unit will use cognitive and constructivist theories to promote the application of educational technology thereby linking educational theories to practice. Assessment: Ongoing formative assessment: 15% + Summative assessment: 85% |
