NUR4911Critical care 1: advanced ventilation & haemodynamic monitoring(MED)
Ms D Kiegaldie 3 points + semester two + Gippsland + Peninsula + Combination of: lectures; tutorials (some may be held at clinical sites); laboratories; clinical; individual study; and electronic learning activities (total of 78hrs) Synopsis: The critical care nurse requires a diverse knowledge and skill base to appropriately and effectively assess and manage patients in the critical care environment. This unit focuses on enabling the student to develop proficiency in the management of critically ill patients with illnesses requiring the interventions of mechanical ventilation and haemodynamic monitoring. Assessment: Exam 60% + Learning package 40% + OSCA (Pass/fail) |
