NUR4903Emergency 2: trauma(MED)
Ms J Martin & Mr F Marino 3 points + semester two + Gippsland + Peninsula + Combination of: lectures; tutorials (some may be held at clinical sites); laboratories; clinical; individual study; and electronic learning activities (total of 78hrs) Synopsis: Clients/patients experiencing major and minor trauma are frequently encountered in the emergency department. The emergency nurse needs to be equipped with advanced assessment skills and clinical knowledge to effectively manage these clients/patients. This unit focuses on enabling the student to develop proficiency related to triage, assessment, and the management of clients/patients experiencing trauma. Assessment: Clinical Performance Appraisal: 50% + Exam: 40% + OSCA: 10% |
