NUR1302Science in nursing 2(MED)
Dr Wendy Wright (Gippsland), Dr Wayne Sturrock (Peninsula) 6 points + 6 hours per week + Second semester + Gippsland and Peninsula Synopsis: The unit aims to continue the study of anatomy and physiology by examining the respiratory system, the musculoskeletal system and sensory perception. In each body system normal functioning will be compared to a selected number of disease states. Students will be introduced to the discipline of microbiology by examining the basic biology of microorganisms and the role of the nurse in infection control. Assessment: Laboratory work (quizzes, 2 reports): 30% + Mid-semester test: 25% + End-of-semester examination (2 hours): 45% |
