NUR1102Nursing practice 2: concepts and practice of nursing care(MED)
Elizabeth Grant (Gippsland), Joan Yalden (Peninsula) 9 points + 6 hours per week (lectures, tutorials, labs) plus 150 hours clinical + Second semester + Gippsland and Peninsula + Prerequisite: NUR1101 Synopsis: This unit is designed to assist students to further develop an understanding of health and human responses to needs and problems over the lifespan. It is a foundation unit for nursing practice in the clinical setting and examines fundamental nursing knowledge and skills in preparation for the care of individuals who have developed health problems. Assessment: Written clinical based assignment: 30% + Written examination: 50% + Class/tutorial assignment: 20% + Attendance at clinical placements is mandatory and students must pass both theoretical and clinical components in order to pass the unit. |
