Ms P Robinson 6 points + 6 x 2 weekday contact hours and 2 x 7 weekend contact hours + Second semester + Macfarlane Burnet Centre Alfred Synopsis: Epidemiology of communicable diseases of public health importance in developing countries, including major environmental & pathogenic causes. Covers design & management of appropriate communicable disease prevention & control strategies; using both theoretical models & practical examples; preparedness for, & control of, epidemics; & the appropriate use of resources; development of systems to provide adequate water, sanitation, vector control & treatment services.
