Synopsis: How to recognise, evaluate and control hazards in workplaces arising from substances, sound, radiation & micro-organisms. Principles & practice of occupational hygiene including the use of simple instruments, ventilation, microbiological safety, radiation safety, personal protective clothing & workplace substances laws. Hygienic standards & their various forms & notations. The difficulties of assessing prior exposures for medico-legal & epidemiological purposes.
