3-hour session per week + Second semester + City + Prerequisites: MGX9220 and BTX9070, or equivalent

Synopsis: Issues include the changing shape of unionism in Australia and overseas and the lessons of the US case, strategic choice in industrial relations, employee participation, globalisation and industrial relations, occupational health and safety, fair and unfair dismissals, equal employment opportunity, legal remedies available to management, and political influences on industrial relations.

Assessment: Written (assignments 4000 words): 40% + Take-home examination: 60%
