Synopsis: The subject examines the ways in which the international community is tackling existing and future environmental problems, including ozone layer depletion, climate change, destruction of biodiversity, heritage conservation, and disposal of hazardous waste. Topics include the evolution, basic principles, and legal framework of international environmental harm; the Earth Summits; the future.

Assessment: essay (3000 words): 50% + Examination (2 hours): 50%
