Equity and discrimination in the workplace

6 points + Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week + Second semester + City + Prerequisites: MGX9220 and MGY9070

Synopsis: Issues included in this subject are theories and concepts concerning workplace equity and discrimination; forms of workplace discrimination; legal framework within which workplace discrimination is dealt with; workplace policies and procedures concerning equity and discrimination; examination of relevant case studies and contemporary decisions of industrial and anti-discrimination tribunals.

Assessment: Student research paper (3000 words): 60% + Analysis of issues (1500 word paper): 30% + Class presentation: 10%
