MGW1501Tourism principles and practice(BUS)
Berwick: Dr Warwick Frost (Chief Examiner); Gippsland + OCDL: Mr Damian Morgan 6 points + Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week + OCDL, approximately 12 hours per week + Berwick, first semester + Gippsland, OCDL, second semester + Prohibitions: MGB1501, MGG1501, MGW2501 Synopsis: This unit provides an introduction to tourism studies. The main areas covered include the key components of the tourism industry, the importance and function of tourist attractions, motivations and types of tourists and the social, economic and environmental impacts of tourism.
