Organisational behaviour

6 points + 2-hour lecture and 1-hour tutorial per week + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisite: Completion of 12 units of study

Synopsis: Issues will be addressed at several levels: organisational level - organisational productivity; links of business strategy to people management; culture; implementation. Group level - teamwork; work practices. Individual level - employee attitudes; behaviour. Managing the diverse workforces arising from contemporary changes. The subject takes a problem-focused approach, presenting practices and interventions to address problems and contemporary issues for practice.

Assessment: Tutorial participation: 10% + Major assignment (2500 words): 40% + Examination (3 hours): 50%
