MGA0007Experiential group supervision I(MED) Not offered in 2002 Dr S Rustomjee 5 points + 15 sessions + Second semester Synopsis: Students enrolled in this unit will have access to a number of patients through their professional work. They will select suitable patients for group work by discussion of each patient with the class prior to selection of the patient for the group. Once the patient group has been selected by each student, the student will commence twice-weekly sessions of one hour each as group conductor, as part of the student's prfessional work. The student will continue to participate in weekly experiential supervisory sessions with the class (1.5 hours each) in which the progress of the patient groups will be discussed. Assessment: Reports given by the supervisor on the candidate's ability to make observations and apply theoretical knowledge: 100% |
