Dr David Goddard 8 points + Four-week rotation combining lectures, tutorials, workplace visits and shared rotation Synopsis: Through a range of activities students will develop an understanding of public health issues and of common problems in geriatric medicine, rehabilitation medicine, palliative care, forensic medicine, clinical pharmacology & therapeutics, and evidence-based medicine. It will include discussion of health problems for selected population groups, community support services, legal, cultural, religious and ethical issues in medicine, quality of health care, clinical decision-making and Cochrane reviews. Assessment: Continuous assessment (project work, written reports, oral presentations - satisfactory completion required) + MCQ/SAQ examination: 100% |
