Legal Practice Management - Turning Theory into Practice.

This Subject will be delivered as a mix of online and face-to-face sessions. The face-to-face activities are to be concentrated in two intensive weekend sessions

Synopsis: This subject comprises two parts. Part I examines legal practice profitability and strategy implementation. Park II looks at three ways to improve legal practice management. In outline, the two Parts of the subject will cover the following matters: Part I: understanding the dynamics of law firm profitability; improving law firm strategy execution. Part II: linking compensation and competencies to strategy; harnessing technology to improve decision making; and effective accountability frameworks.

Assessment: The proposed assessment regime consists of the following components and weightings Class participation 10% Class preparation 10% Assignment - 3000 words 30% Examination 50%
