LAW4181Skills, Ethics & Research A(LAW) Not offered in 2002 Professor Susan Campbell 6 points + Clayton Synopsis: This unit comprises the first half of the Faculty's Integrated Skills & Ethics Program (ISEP). Each module has been designed to present a core legal skill integrated within the substantive content of its 'host' subject. The modules are: Ethics and Teamwork in Legal Practice - Legal Process; Advising and Plea Making - Criminal Law and Procedure; Ethics in Contract - Contract; Legal Interviewing and Negotiation (multi media) - Torts. Skills, Ethics and Research A will be complemented by Skills Ethics and Research B which consists of a 50% legal research module and two further skills modules located within later year core subjects. Assessment: Each of the four modules comprising the unit is worth 25%. The form of assessment varies according to the nature of the module and its skills and ethics content. |
