Dr Susan Kneebone 6 points + Three 1-hour lectures per week + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: LAW2100, LAW3400, LAW4169 + Prohibited combinations: LAW4201 Synopsis: This subject introduces students to the nature and function of trusts in the modern Australian legal system. Students learn how trusts are used and learn the rules governing their existence. In particular, the rules governing the creation and administration of trusts, and the rights and obligations of parties to trusts are taught. Assessment: Optional written assignment (3500 words): 40% + Final Examination (1.5 hours plus 10 minutes reading/settling time): 60%, OR Final examination (2.5 hours plus 10 minutes reading/settling time): 100% |
