6 points + One 2-hour seminar per week + Semester One + Clayton + Corequisite: enrolment in BA (Languages) or current enrolment in 3rd year level LOTE study AND additional 12 points in a second LOTE at first year level OR by permission

Synopsis: The seminars will investigate issues concerned with second language acquisition and will enable students to reflect on the experience of acquiring languages from a Comparative perspective.

Assessment: Class participation: 30% + Class paper written up as a 3000-word assignment: 70%
