Synopsis: Develop knowledge, strategies and skills to interact in Japanese in situations likely to be encountered in Australia and Japan. Establish a firm foundation of linguistic, sociolinguistic and sociocultural knowledge, which can be creatively applied in a variety of situations.

Assessment: Written test(s): 50% + Aural/oral tests: 25% + Quizzes and assignments: 25%
