Synopsis: The unit consists of two components: (i) Language and (ii) Aspects in Italian Culture. The latter component develops the socio-cultural insights gained in SPN1010/1020 through in-depth analysis of Italian history and culture from the Risorgimento to World War II.

Assessment: (i) Language (Continuous assessment, including periodic tests: 50% + End-of-semester test: 30%) (ii) Aspects of Italian Culture (Test: 10% and Short essay: 10%)
