Synopsis: The first lecture is devoted to a discussion on grammar points and idiomatic expressions. During the second lecture passages from literary prose are read and analysed from a grammatical as well as a cultural viewpoint. These serve as a basis for writing practice and structured conversation and discussion.

Assessment: Written (750 words): 25% + Examination: (2 hours): 50% + Two tests: 25%
