6 points + 5 hours per week + Second semester + Gippsland and OCDL + OCDL students are required to attend a weekend school or consult the unit adviser + Prerequisite: INM1115 or equivalent.

Synopsis: A continuation of INM1115. Lectures introduce an historical background to Indonesia through the history of language. The practicals continue to develop proficiency in basic communication tasks though with an increasing emphasis on an Indonesian setting.

Assessment: Oral presentation (10 minutes): 25% + Cultural journal (1000 words): 15% + Short tasks (500 words): 10% Examination (2 hours): 50%
